Pressed Petals App

This recommendation is coming out tomorrow in The Wonderlyst, my weekly Substack, but I love it so much I couldn’t wait to share it here!

I created the pretty pressed art pictured here during my neighborhood dog walk, from flowers I admired along the way. Pressed Petals is a new app that lets you photograph a flower and, within seconds, transforms it into a pressed botanical specimen. It stores your collection in a journal, documenting the date, time, location, and even the flower’s scientific name. I am working on a collection of all the flowers in my own wild yard, too. I love the idea of this as both artwork and archive.
